Attention curious wanna-be composers: the TSO’s Explore the Score is a must-attend event featured image

November 25, 2019

If you’re a music student contemplating a career as a composer, and want to check out the process, this is a must-attend event.  The Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Explore the Score takes place at Roy Thomson Hall on Saturday, November 30, at 10 AM.

The TSO has been mentoring composers for some time now – since 2012, Canada’s top emerging composers are given the chance to hear their works rehearsed. This is hugely valuable – it’s so rare to hear your work played by a full orchestra logistically, let alone programming-wise.

Starting 2018, these rehearsals were opened to the public. Participating composers are (clockwise from upper left) Ian Cusson , Matthew Emery, Jared Richardson, and Fjola Evans.

Tickets are available here and are only $5.  We hope you go and enjoy this experience!
