Sean Michaels, winner of the 2014 Scotiabank Giller Prize, chatted with Mike Duncan, co-host of “Classical Mornings” to talk about his latest book, “The Wagers”. In this highly-anticipated second novel, Sean wrote about a stand-up comedian trying to make a go of it, and the author himself even took a turn at stand-up as part of his research. In the book he covers long odds, magical heists, and the dizzying gamble of life. Where does luck come from? What is it worth? How much of it do you need to be happy? Topics we’ve all contemplated from time to time, whether buying a lottery ticket or making a big life decision.
Sean also contemplates what to do when success hits you, right out of the gate.
