Here’s what host Alexa Petrenko has in store for us tonight on “Sunday Night at the Opera”:

“Easter Sunday and Earth Day Monday are times for rejoicing, and in the music world nobody does that better than Carl Orff in  Carmina Burana, with its spectacular tunes, rhythms, and lyrics that celebrate the joys of living in springtime, in the tavern, and in the court of love.  Our recording features soloists Gundula Janowitz, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, and Gerhard Stolze, with the chorus and orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.”

Sunday Night at the Opera airs at 9 pm on The New Classical FM.
