Choral conductors Lydia Adams and Jon Washburn dropped by “Classical Mornings” to chat with host Mike Duncan about a special collaboration between the Elmer Iseler Singers and the Vancouver Chamber Choir (VCC), conducted by Jon.  Jon is coming up on the final three-week national tour of the VCC (his 90th career tour!)  and the Toronto celebration by the Elmer Iseler Singers. The two groups have collaborated for 40 years, since the inception of the Iseler Singers, with joint concerts in each other’s cities.

“Elmer Eseler Singers presents The Vancouver Chamber Choir” is a concert celebrating Jon’s astonishing 48 years as Artistic Director of the VCC as he transitions to Conductor Emeritus.  The program will include works by Britten, Kodaly, Debussy, Schafer, MacMillan, Gjeilo, and Jon himself.
