The amazing voice of Nathalie Stutzmann is featured for the upcoming edition of “Sunday Night at the Opera”. In Alexa’s words:
“This week, we’re winding down Remembrance Day with a new take on old music with French contralto Nathalie Stutzmann and her fabulous chamber orchestra Orfeo 55 (check out the website – some wonderful videos of Stutzmann singing and conducting simultaneously). On their Erato disc ‘Quella Fiamma’, they make magic with a selection of the finest songs and arias from the Italian baroque from the ‘Arie Antiche’ collected by the composer and voice teacher Parisotti in the late 19th century, intended as study pieces for beginning singers. Stutzmann reveals them to be small masterpieces.”
Sunday Night at the Opera is at at 9 PM on The New Classical FM.
