All sports fans know about Damien Cox – he’s written about sports for many years with the Toronto Star, covering the Maple Leafs and the NHL. You may also recognize him as a contributor to Hockey Night in Canada and all Rogers Sportsnet shows.
“Classical Mornings” co-host Mike Duncan sat down with Damien to chat about his latest book, “The Last Good Year”, published by Penguin Random House Canada, Cox covers a legendary time in hockey – the spring of ’93, when an era-defining seven games happened. The men changed by it were all at various stages of their careers: Marty McSorley, Doug Gilmour, Bruce McNall, Bill Gerg, Kelly Hrudey, Kerry Fraser, Wendel Clark, and Wayne Gretzsky.
