Every Friday on “A Little Night Music” – Vintage Vocalists. Jean Stillwell of “Classical Mornings with Mike and Jean” joins Kathleen Kajioka to explore great voices of the past. This week, Maureen Forrester.

This Canadian legend knew she wanted to be a singer by the age of 13, when she dropped out of school in Montreal in order to pay for her lessons. She would become a regular on the major stages of the world, and was hand-picked by legendary conductor Bruno Walter to sing Mahler’s “Resurrection” Symphony, a work for which she would become renowned.

Tune in just after 9pm to hear this extraordinary voice!
