Tafelmusik bassoonist Dominic Teresi dropped by the studio to chat with Mike & Jean of “Classical Mornings” about the opening night and 40th birthday of Tafelmusik! He also chatted about the changes in music since the classical era, which directly impacted his instrument, and why less concertos were written for it.
Dominic will be one of the featured soloists in an all-Mozart program directed by Elisa Citterio, which includes Symphony 40, the overture to La finta giardiniera and two concertos: Tafelmusik’s first-ever performances of the Violin Concerto in D Major K218 featuring Citterio as soloist, and the Concerto for Bassoon in B-flat Major. Happy Birthday, Tafelmusik!
