British Baritone Roland Wood talks with Mike & Jean about his Title Role in COC’s Production of Rigoletto featured image

Verdi’s Rigoletto is one of the most popular works in the COC’s operatic repertoire and their latest production runs from January 20 to February 23, 2018. It features an all-star cast, including British baritone Roland Wood in the title role and American soprano Anna Christy as his doomed daughter, Gilda. Both are making highly anticipated returns to the COC: Roland made an acclaimed COC debut as Renato in their 2014 production of A Masked Ball, while Anna was lauded for her performance in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor in 2013.  This morning Roland sat down on Classical Mornings with Mike and Jean to tell us all about what to expect from this years production of Rigoletto:
