REPORT: 24.5M VISIT TORONTO IN 2018, SPEND OVER $10B IN GTA

The city of Toronto saw 27.5-million visitors last year according to a just released report from Tourism Toronto.

When looking at the Greater Toronto Area, there were 44.5-millon tourists in 2018.

A majority of visitors (85%) were domestic, while the rest were Americans (about 9%) and from overseas (6%).

While visiting the GTA, Tourism Toronto says they spent $10.3-billion.

Nearly 70,000 work in the local tourist sector.
