3 Questions with Nicola Benedetti

3 Questions with Nicola Benedetti featured image

Scottish classical violinist Nicola Benedetti was in the studio with our very own Bill Anderson earlier this week for an interview. She is in town to play with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra this week, where she will Sperform Shostakovich Violin Concerto No.1.
Ms. Benedetti took a moment from her busy schedule to answer a few quick questions:

What musician or artist is your guilty pleasure?
I honestly do not have one. There’s far too much great music to get through that I’m rarely listening to anything I wouldn’t consider to be good.

What do you do to unwind?
I tend to be in cities, hotels and airports a lot so a walk in the park or by the sea is a huge release.

What’s coming up next for you?
I am performing quite consistently until the end of the year, between Europe and America. I’m greatly looking forward to re-working with fellow musicians and meeting new ones.

Here’s a video of Nicola Benedetti performing a song reflective of her native homeland, Scotland:
