Marilyn Lightstone and Leah Sherman

Now, let me make this clear: in NO way am I putting myself in Kandinsky’s league. Not only would that be world-class presumption, but total insanity as well.

I just wanted to point out that, for this i-Pad piece, I used a technique for creating overlapping colour very similar to that of the Master; a technique that was taught to me by my blessed Baron Byng High School Art Teacher, Leah Sherman.

It was she who created the Fine Arts program when Sir. George Williams College in Montreal became Concordia University. And it was she who first opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of the creative life.

For that, I shall forever be grateful.
