The Craigleith Heritage Depot is a museum, library, archive and tourism information centre all rolled into one unique historic building.
The Depot was once a train station where skiers would arrive from Toronto and take a horse-drawn sleigh up the hill to Blue Mountain.
Today the museum houses exhibits ranging from a model of a local Petun Indigenous village to examples of Blue Mountain pottery and a history of Blue Mountain Resort.
The library has programs for adults, teens and children. And the archive has research materials from books to family records, letters, newspapers and more. There’s even a gallery showing works by local artists.
The Craigleith Heritage Depot is a true community hub bringing the past, present and future together.
