Harrison Park in the heart of Owen Sound is an urban oasis of streams, trails, gardens, playgrounds, forest and green space.
It’s the perfect place to escape the heat, have a picnic, take a hike, or float down the Sydenham River in a paddle boat or canoe.
There’s a full-service campground, dining and recreation facilities, boat rentals, mini-putt, basketball courts and a pool to cool off in.
Stop by the duck pond to feed the swans, or visit the peacocks and other exotic birds in the Aviary.
When Harrison Park was turned over to the city a century ago, it was considered one of the most beautiful parks in Ontario. Today, it remains one of the area’s greatest attractions.
